John Malitz

John Malitz is the CEO and Founder of Malitz Construction, Inc., providing overall management focusing on Business Development, Customer Satisfaction and Quality Control for the company. Having grown up in the industry, he lends well over 40 years expertise to the company’s collaborative team to come up with creative solutions to construction dilemmas.

John has built a reputation for quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction by attracting and retaining a team of smart and dedicated project managers, skilled craftsmen and establishing lasting relationships with top quality subcontractors. The result has been a legacy of repeat customers who refer their friends.

Ryan Malitz

President

Ryan Malitz is the President of Malitz Construction, Inc. with responsibilities spanning from Business Development, estimating, bidding & negotiating contracts, and project management to human resource management and information technology. As the second generation of the family’s business, this is the role that Ryan has trained for his entire life. He returned to San Antonio in 2009 to join the family business after spending six years in Houston gaining experience first with the Hanover Company building high-rises, becoming their youngest project manager along the way, then as a project director with the SpawMaxwell Company gaining more valuable experience on challenging hospital renovation projects.

Ryan’s dad says that he knew he wanted to be a contractor from the time he was in the fifth grade, and thus the training began. The training included countless hours absorbing “Contractor speak” while riding in the family suburban with his dad, visiting jobsites on Saturdays, laboring on jobsites in his teen summers, and culminating with obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science from Texas A&M in 2002.

Ryan is an Eagle Scout and a member of the Alamo Area Boy Scout Council Executive Board, he is a huge proponent of the principles and lessons that he learned as a Boy Scout, and wants to help pass those life lessons on to more youth in our area.

reid Loehman

vice president

Reid Loehman has been with Malitz Construction since his graduation from Southwest Texas State University, with a degree in Construction Science, in 2001.

Reid grew up working in his family ‘s bolt and screw business. He also spent summers building fences, decks and doing renovation projects with his father.   From an early age, Reid was exposed to many different aspects of construction, which helped broaden his knowledge of the construction industry.

During his time at Malitz Construction, Reid has managed many different types of projects.  Some of these projects range from Fast-Track Dormitory Renovations at Trinity University, Design-Build Car Dealerships, Medical Office Buildings and Surgical Centers, Mortuaries and Banks, to name a few. Reid has managed projects that have gone on to obtain LEED Certification and has been recognized by the American Subcontractors Association as Project Manager of the Year.

Ryan Kessler

Director of Estimating and Preconstruction

Ryan Kessler is Malitz Construction’s Director of Estimating and Preconstruction. He grew up in San Antonio working as a carpenter for his father and uncles on weekends and during summer breaks through high school and college. The time spent working hands-on in the field gave Ryan a thorough understanding of construction. After completing his degree in Construction Science at Texas A&M University, Ryan returned home to San Antonio to begin a career as a project manager and estimator. His 18 years of project management experience have exposed him to a wide variety of projects. Ryan puts the knowledge he gained in both his formative to years and his career to good use daily in his role with Malitz Construction
